More than 25 CAPE members learned the ins and outs of home buying and the Union Plus Mortgage Program at a seminar on March 28 at the union’s office in Pasadena.
Wells Fargo Home Mortgage reps Mary Niederhaus and Paul Wasserman walked attendees through the process of home buying and how to prepare for purchase. They also answered questions about refinancing.
Members in attendance also learned about the Union Plus Mortgage program, a benefit through the AFL-CIO that is only for union members, including CAPE members. The Union Plus Mortgage program, with financing provided by Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, provides several financial safeguards for participants, including interest-free mortgage assistance loans, mortgage strike assistance grants, hospital grants and disaster relief grants.
