After the tournament, the golfers enjoyed a delightful buffet dinner and awards reception.

County Board of Supervisors Votes Unanimously to Ratify Salary Contract Agreements for CAPE Members in All Six County Units

94% of CAPE Members Voted YES in September to Ratify Pay Raise Agreement

Following the overwhelming approval of the Salary Contract Agreements by CAPE members in all six county units in late September, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously on Tuesday, October 15, to ratify salary contract agreements. 

CAPE 8th Annual Golf Tournament

CAPE Members in All Six County Units Vote Overwhelmingly to Ratify Salary Contracts

CAPE members in all six county units voted overwhelmingly to ratify the salary contract agreements approved by bargaining unit representatives earlier this year. The results of the ratification votes will be reported next to County representatives, triggering an approval vote by the County Board of Supervisors at an upcoming meeting.

CAPE Helps Improve County Services by Better Management of Outside Contract Employees

Recent efforts by CAPE leaders has significantly curtailed the number of jobs contracted to outside agencies by County executives, mostly at the Department of Public Works, but also at other departments where maintaining institutional memory saves significant resources.

Unit Contract Ratification Update

Unit Contract Ratification Ballots Mailed Monday, September 9th.  

The Ratification ballots were mailed to all CAPE voting members on Monday, September 9th.  

The deadline to receive ballots to the Election Post Office Box is Tuesday, September 24th by 12:00 noon.  

The ballots will be opened and counted by election officials at the CAPE office on Wednesday, September 25th at 11:00 AM. Members are welcome to attend the ballot counting.

Professional Employees Endorse Herb Wesson

Following interviews of all three front-runner candidates in the 2nd District Board of Supervisors election, the CAPE Political Endorsement Committee recommended endorsing Los Angeles City Council President Herb Wesson to succeed Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas who will be completing his last term as County Supervisor.
