Group Term Life Insurance

CAPE members are provided a group term life insurance policy automatically upon approval of union membership at no cost. As of July 1, 2011, the CAPE group term life insurance is provided through Mutual of Omaha (download CAPE Booklet PDF). In addition to the change to Mutual of Omaha, CAPE is pleased to announce that as of July 1, 2011 the life insurance coverage amount increased to $20,000.00.

CAPE union members have access to an invaluable Travel Assistance service available through Mutual of Omaha. The Mutual of Omaha Travel Assistance program provides services for union members and their families traveling more than 100 miles from home for either business or pleasure, including Pre-Trip Information, Emergency Medical and Personal Assistance Services. These services are provided by AXA Assistance USA. Travel Assistance is available at no additional cost on life plans. CAPE union members also have available Mutual of Omaha’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP).  The EAP are trained professionals to work with you as you search for solutions to personal and workplace issues. The program is voluntary and confidential; only your EAP professional will know you have called. The EAP program is available at no additional cost on life plans, and includes assistance for you and your immediate dependent family members.
