CAPE representatives participate with other County union representatives as part of the Coalition of County Unions – CCU – to negotiate and enforce a fringe benefits contract for all County workers represented by a CCU member union.

 

 

Terms of Fringe Benefit Contract Extension:

— Fringe Contract extended one full year (through September 30, 2012)

Horizons Contribution Changes
(paycheck dates):

7/30/2010 through 1/15/2011
Continue Up to 4% match 

1/30/2011 through 7/15/2011
No county match until fiscal year 2011-2012

7/30/2011 Up to 2% county match until Fund cap is met.

7/30/2012 Resume county match up to 4% until Fund cap is met.

  • All other fringe benefits, including pensions and retiree healthcare, protected through September 30, 2012
  • Option for each individual union to extend Unit Salary Contracts for an additional year (through September 30, 2012)

Choices Contribution Increase:

1/1/2011 County contribution increases by 7.2%
(per CCU agreement negotiated in 2009)

1/1/2012 County contribution increases an additional 7.2% to help cover rising health care costs for our members
